Acetyl Bromide is also called CH3COBr, HSDB 663, EINECS 208-061-7, Ethanoyl bromide, 506-96-7, Acetic acid, bromide, UN1716, AG-F-70683, BRN 1697546 and has Molecular Formula of C2H3BrO and Molecular Weight of 122.94862. Manufactured using phosphorus tribromide and glacial acetic acid or acetic anhydride, it comes in form of colorless fuming liquid with unpleasant odor/pungent odor.

It comes with properties include Boiling Point of 76°C, Melting Point of -96°C, Density/Specific Gravity of 1.52 @ 9°C and Heat of Vaporization of 106 BTU/lb = 59 cal/g = 2.5X10X5 J/kg.
